Terms and Conditions

MINDFUL AYURVEDA’S COMMITMENT 

  • All treatments are provided by Janet Mantle (JM), who is the business owner of Mindful Ayurveda
  • Mindful Ayurveda does not use a booking system; you can contact JM via the enquiry form on the website or by contacting JM directly.
  • The client’s appointment starts at the agreed appointment time; if the client arrives late, this time could be taken off your allocated time so it does not eat into the next client’s time.
  • All clients must complete a consultation form before their first treatment and will receive up to 10 minutes in addition to their treatment. JM may contact you to complete the consultation before treatment begins.
  • If the client would like a Dosha-specific consultation, this can be done via Zoom, telephone, or in person.
  • Treatments will only be conducted if JM deems the treatment safe for the client.
  • GP/Consultant permission may be required before treatments can be provided.

Cancellation Policy

  • All bookings are agreed upon by telephone or email.
  • If a cancellation is made more than 24 hours before a treatment, the client will not be charged.
  • If a cancellation is made within 24 hours of the treatment, they will be expected to pay the cost of the treatment.
  • This cancellation fee may be waived at JM’s discretion.
  • The cancellation fee must be paid within 7 days of the cancellation.
  • JM can cancel a treatment with 24 hours’ notice.
  • JM has the right to cancel a treatment without notice if the room or environment is unsuitable for the treatment to be provided or if the therapist is taken ill.
  • JM has the right to cancel a treatment without notice if the client is intoxicated or inebriated.
  • JM commits to rearranging treatments to a new time and date within two weeks of the cancelled treatment where possible.

Vouchers

  • Vouchers can be used as payment towards any available, advertised treatments.
  • Vouchers are only valid for one use.
  • If the whole amount of the voucher is not used, another voucher for the remaining voucher sum will be issued.
  • Vouchers are only valid up to and including the expiry date.
  • Refunds are not available for vouchers already paid for and provided.

Feedback Forms

  • Feedback forms will be sent to clients at JM’s discretion.
  • Content may be used with permission in publicity material and on the website.

Website Content

  • Website content, including testimonials, is managed at JM’s discretion.
  • Photographs will only be displayed with the consent of the people in the photograph.
  • Photograph consent may be obtained by JM verbally or in writing.

Payment

  • The preferred payment method is bank transfer or cash; card payments are also taken.
  • Invoices will be sent to clients who do not pay for or cancel treatments, and Invoices must be paid within 7 days of the issue date.

Privacy

  • Client treatment details will not be discussed with anyone other than the client unless the client is under 18 or has a care worker or guardian.
  • JM will securely keep Consultation Forms and treatment notes on file for seven years.
  • All clients must complete a consultation form before receiving Mindful Ayurveda’s treatments.
  • By signing the consultation form, clients permit JM to hold records and data.
  • Personal information will not be shared with third parties except when lawfully requested as guidelines from GDPR.

Young Clients

  • An adult must accompany clients under the age of 18.
  • The adult must permit the treatment to be performed.
  • The adult must co-sign the client’s consultation form.
  • The adult must be present in the room throughout the treatment.

Inappropriate Behaviour

  • JM has the right to terminate a treatment immediately if the client demonstrates inappropriate or sexual behaviour.
  • Payment will be collected for the full treatment price, provided more than 10 minutes have been spent massaging the client.
  • If the therapist cannot collect money before leaving, an invoice will be sent to the client’s address.
  • All invoices must be paid within 7 days of the issue date.

Complaints Procedure

  • If a client wishes to make a complaint about JM, this must be emailed to janet@mindfulayurveda.co.uk
  • Complaints must include the date and location of the incident, the complainant's full name, details of the complaint and a desired outcome following the complaint.
  • All complaints will be taken very seriously, and a response will be provided within 28 days.

Insurance and Ethics

  • JM holds qualifications and certificates for her treatments.
  • BGi.uk fully insure JM.
  • Qualifications are listed on the website.
