About four weeks ago I hit a wall. Since starting to work from home last year my days have been longer, I seem to spend all day in meetings with little time for focused work, and I'm missing seeing actual real people! I got talking to Janet Mantle after a networking event. She explained that she's an Ayurvedic Therapist practicing ancient Indian treatments to restore wellbeing in mind and body. Everything she said resonated with me. Even her voice made me feel calmer. I've had three treatments in the last few weeks - body massage, meditation and facial massage - and I can honestly say I feel more rested and relaxed than I have in over a year (probably more!). It's like the overdrive switch in my brain has been turned off for the first time in ages. I am sleeping like a baby! It's #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek2021 next week so if you're feeling like I was, remember to give yourself time and space for self care. Lots of you will know I'm petrified of flying. I think I really will fall out of the sky and die. I stress for months before and cry all the way to the airport . Weirdly I chill in the airport but start again when they call our flight. I'm a mess. Well I think i may have been cured. I had a couple of hypnotherapy sessions with @janet_mindful_ayurveda and booked a trip to Poland. I can't get over the difference in me. I did cry taking off both times but apart from that I enjoyed my holiday! If you have any phobias I'd seriously book a course of treatments x Janet's great xx
