What is Solution Focused Hypnotherapy?

This is a type of hypnotherapy which combines the use of psychotherapy with the use of hypnosis in order to create a solution focused therapy.

 It is considered that hypnosis, or the ‘trance state’, is a very natural and relaxing state of mind that can be induced through guided relaxation, in which the mind is able to relax and is then able to focus on thoughts and suggestions that might be useful. 

The Solution Focused Hypnotherapy approach is a modern psychotherapeutic approach that uses practical, structured, and well-researched strategies to assist people in making substantial, positive changes in their lives in a relatively short period of time.

 A critical aspect of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is that the therapist looks first at what the client wants to achieve (the solution) rather than at whatever prompted them to seek help (the problem) in the first place.
